December 19, 2011 - National Seminar on Green Economy

December 19, 2011 under the framework of national preparations for the UN CSD, RIO +20, to be held June 20-22, 2012, UNEP, and UNDP have organized a national seminar on Green Economy at the Ministry of Environement. 
The seminar aimed at promoting the concept of green economy as a part of the socio-economic sustainable development.

Representatives from central government, parliamentary commissions, national economy, civil society, and development partners have participated to the event.
Lucia Sop, National Cleaner Production Programme Director had a brief presentation on the NCPP objectives and current activities.

December 9, 2011 - National Executive Board meeting

On Friday December 9, 2011, National Cleaner Production Programme(NCPP) held its National Executive Board meeting at the Ministry of Environment. 
NCPP annual Work Plan October 2011-December 2012 has been presented to the Board members.

The Vice-Minister of Environment highlighted the importance of sustainable production and consumption patterns policy promotion to the industrial sector of the Republic of Moldova, through the implementation of Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production(RECP) concept methods and practices.

September 2011 - National Cleaner Production Programme full scale implementation phase

In September 2011 the full scale National Cleaner Production Programme for Moldova has been approved and funded by the Government of Austria.

Activities aimed at supporting the implementation of Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production practices and technologies in enterprises (in particular in agro-processing, construction materials and municipal services sectors) and the mainstreaming of cleaner production in relevant government policy and strategy are in the process of launching.
