Forum dedicated to Energy Efficiency as a future solution for Moldovan enterprises in the framework of UNIDO RECP demonstration component under EaP GREEN
The first RECP Forum with the focus on ENERGY EFFICIENCY was organized by the National Cleaner Production Programme in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in its regional Balti subdivision.
Relevance and applicability of RECP has been demonstrated through real examples of environmental and economic benefits achieved by local enterprises.
The forum brought together representatives of enterprises from different industries, local government representatives, academia, and other stakeholders interested in benefits of rational consumption of materials, energy and water, as well as ways to replicate RECP experience.

RECP Club Balti meeting, Module VI
Responsible production/consumption and reduction of chemicals were addressed at the meeting of RECP Club Balti.
The club members were encouraged to develop an individual action plan, which will further guide implementation of identified and evaluated RECP measures.
RECP Club Balti meeting, Module V
Changing consumption patterns and behavior towards natural resources/materials and waste minimization was the focus of the RECP Club meeting in Balti.
The RECP Club members have learned about local RECP practices and techniques on waste prevention, reduction and recycling, and identified measures to prevent losses of materials at their companies.
Follow up RECP Training
The findings of RECP evaluations, as well as benefits in result of RECP implementations at demonstration companies have been presented by the trainees group.
Further follow up and guidance have been provided by UNIDO international expert, Dr. Johannes Fresner, during on-site company visits.
BALTI region RECP Club meeting
Potential benefits from water efficiency and waste water minimisation options at the industrial enterprises and other organisations were analysed at RECP Club Balti meeting.
The Club members have discussed current challenges regarding water consumption and have sought possible water efficiency measures for their companies.
Presentation of EaP GREEN Demonstration Component at the World Resources Forum 2015 Workshop on Circular Economy in Action - Experiences of RECPnet around the World
EaP GREEN Demonstration Component is being presented on Tuesday, 13 October at 16:30 at the World Resources Forum 2015 "Workshop on Circular Economy in Action - Experiences of RECPnet around the World" organized in Davos, Switzerland from 12 to 16 October in conjunction with the Global Network Conference on Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP).
Presentation on EaP GREEN Program and the UNIDO component in particular is going to be made by Ms. Carolina Gonzalez, UNIDO Project Manager, and Mr. Malkhaz Adeishvili, National Coordinator of the project in Georgia.

BALTI RECP CLUB meeting
Industrial enterprises and other organisations � members to RECP Club Balti met to improve their energy management skills / practices, and find energy efficiency solutions for their companies.
National RECP Conference
The National Cleaner Production Programme has presented its most important achievements during 2011-2015 made possible with the generous funding of the Austrian Government.
Uptake of RECP concept by more than 100 enterprises / organizations / institutions has resulted in over 1.1 million EURO of savings, including conservation of energy / water / materials.
The Conference participants including business, academia, local goverment, and developing partners have committed to integrate RECP into their operation and activities in order to ensure continuous resource efficiency and reduction of waste generation by accepting and signing the National RECP Declaration.
RECP Club Causeni meeting
The RECP Club Causeni members met to discuss environmental and resource use issues at their enterprises, and share identified RECP solutions, and to confirm the necessity of small steps for RECP improvements that would enable visible achievements for their companies and the community.
The meeting was organized with the support of, and hosted by the Mayor�s Office of Causeni Municipality.
A training for RECP Assessors delivered under NCPP-Moldova
An Introductory Course for Assessors in Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) Methods and Practices has been delivered to the national trainees, which included presentation of the set of 6 modules: RECP Concept and Practice / RECP Assessment / Motivation, Commitment & Team / RECP baseline and Indicators / Initial Assessment / Detailed Assessment, including practical examples.
Awareness raising and dissemination seminar on regional replication programme - RECP Clubs
RECP Club was rolled out in Orhei as enterprises and organizations from the region decided to join RECP CLUB ORHEI.
The progress and achievements of NCPP-Moldova were presented to the participants, including testimonials from representatives of Causeni and Ungheni on RECP benefits for their regions.
The event was organized in cooperation with Orhei Mayor�s office under the EaP GREEN initiative.
July 16-17, 2015 - 4th Coordination meeting under the RECP Demonstration Component of UNIDO in the framework of EaP GREEN held in Kiev, Ukraine
The purpose of the meeting was to take stock of the activities status, and contribute to improved understanding of scaling up and mainstreaming RECP at the national levels of the EaP Green participant countries.
NCPP Moldova representatives presented the updates on RECP scaling-up activities by sharing the experience on the regional RECP Clubs delivery in the Republic of Moldova.
June 19, 2015 - High Level EU Commission company site visit under EaP GREEN Initiative
Laura Giappichelli, European Commission, Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, and EaP GREEN partners have had a site visit to one of the RECP assessed companies under UNIDO RECP demonstration component in the framework of EaP GREEN, namely print shop BONS OFFICES.
The management of the company guided the delegation on the production departments and explained on benefits after RECP options implementation.
June 18, 2015 - EaP GREEN Steering Committee in Chisinau
The aim of the Steering Committee meeting was to assess progress in implementation of EaP GREEN Programme components since the last meeting in October 2014 which was held in the Republic of Belarus, Minsk.
The participants discussed the achievements and challenges encountered upon implementation of the programme, the activities planned for the forthcoming year, as well as prospects for 2016, until the completion of the project (December 31st 2016).
R.Van Berkel presented the implementation results on UNIDO RECP Demonstration component that included also Republic of Moldova achievements.

June 17, 2015 - RECP Consultative Dialogue under EaP GREEN initiative
RECP Consultative Dialogue was organized with the aim of sharing experience and expertise among the stakeholders representing government, business and civil society to adapt and customize RECP to the national context.
The participants were invited to reflect on RECP concept and terminology, to introduce improvements for easier comprehension and adoption of RECP in Moldova, especially at the level of industrial enterprises and related sectors.

The National Executive Board of NCPP Moldova met to review the overall progress of NCPP activities for Q1 - Q2 2015, including the up-to date status of RECP Policy development.
June 16, 2015 - RECP Policy Training
RECP Policy training was delivered by R.Van Berkel, UNIDO and T. Lindhqvist, Lund University, Sweden, to the relevant stakeholders and national RECP policy experts under NCPP Moldova.
The objective of the training was to introduce key RECP concepts and policies and discuss practical ways for their implementation in Moldova, both at national as well as regional and local levels.

At the thematic meeting of RECP Club Ungheni, the Club members examined the bases of water efficiency / water management and considered water productivity for their companies.

May 1, 2015 - Guidance and coaching of national trainees in RECP basics
Being guided and coached by UNIDO international expert, Dr. Johannes Fresner, the national trainees in RECP basics have undertaken technical visits to the demonstration companies to identify and suggest for implementation RECP options that will help use energy, water and materials more efficiently.

March 25-26, 2015 - Training on RECP Techniques in Target Sectors
The NCPP Moldova team took part in the training on RECP Techniques in Target Sectors (food processing, chemicals and construction materials) in Tbilisi, Georgia, with focus on key advance technical and management options for RECP.
The training was attended by the NCPCs and NCPPs teams from 6 beneficiary countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

NCPP Moldova participated to the training on Project Financing for RECP organized in Tbilisi, Georgia, under EaP GREEN Programme themed on project financing under various funding channels - equity, loans, grants, special funds etc.
March 17, 2015 - National Executive Board meeting
The National Executive Board of the National Cleaner Production Programme (NCPP Moldova) met on March 17th 2015.
The Board members reviewed the annual progress and status of achievements of NCPP-Moldova over 2014, and analysed the possibilities to upscale and mainstream RECP concept at the country level, and came up with a roadmap outline.
March 16, 2015 - RECP Strategy Stakeholder Consultation Workshop
Under the framework of NCPP-Moldova a consultation workshop on Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP) policy was organised, a set of RECP actions was proposed to be taken and to renew governmental commitments to incentivise RECP application.
Views of workshop participants have been gathered to further promote RECP policy elaboration and implementation.
March 11, 2015 - Launch of II round of RECP Club Causeni
NCPP Moldova in collaboration with the City Hall of Causeni launched II round of RECP Club Causeni where the organizations and enterprises from the region have chosen to become members of RECP Club Causeni.
The status and achievements of NCPP Moldova and international experience in RECP club work were presented to the seminar's participants.
March 10, 2015 - Launch of II round of RECP Club Ungheni
II round of RECP Club Ungheni was launched in cooperation with the Mayors Hall and City Council of Ungheni (www.crungheni.md), with participation of regional enterprises and organizations.
The scope of RECP Club is to enhance environmental performance of enterprises and organisations from the region by more efficient use of water / energy / materials while reducing environmental impact and ricks for the community.

RECP Club was launched in Balti, on 23 January 2015, as enterprises and organisations from Balti region made their choice to become members of RECP CLUB.
